The newspaper’s Toronto edition launched in 1978.

The renamed Les Coops de l'information announced in March 2023 that all of its newspapers would become digital-only publications at the end of the year. Final paper editions for all six newspapers (Le Droit, Le Soleil, La Tribune, Le Nouvelliste, La Voix de l'Est, and Le Quotidien) were published on December 30, 2023.
