Moved to 1C Cobb Lane, Corner Brook, NL. The community radio station in Corner Brook, NL, began broadcasting on November 5, 2017. The station first launched as online radio in 2009.

The six closed stations included: Funny 1290 (CFRW-AM), Funny 1060 (CKMX-AM), TSN 1260 (CFRN-AM), BNN Bloomberg 1410 (CFTE-AM), Funny 1040 (CKST-AM), and NewsTalk 1290 (CJBK-AM). The restructuring also involved closing foreign news bureaus, cutting 1300 positions, and "moving to a single newsroom approach across brands.” Funny 1060 launched in 2013 after Classic Country AM 1060 was closed.

Two of the station’s digital news reporters will continue to provide local news content on the CityNews Ottawa website. Rogers Sports & Media cited low audiences, revenue decline, and the CRTC’s restrictive regulatory policies as factors that contributed to their decision.

The station launched in Toronto in 2007 as the first commercial radio station targeting the LGBTQ+ audience.

On August 29, 2012, the CRTC approved the broadcasting licence application that allowed the station to broadcast at 50 watts and increase its service area.
